Holiday Closures & Shipping Delays

Important: Plan ahead when ordering around major holidays. Carrier closures and our boutique closures will affect processing times and delivery schedules.

How Holidays Affect Your Order

Weekend Orders Before Monday/Tuesday Holidays:
Orders placed on weekends when a holiday falls on Monday or Tuesday will not begin processing until 2 business days after the holiday.

Rush Orders Around Holidays:
While we'll expedite your order as requested, production does not occur on days when:

• USPS or UPS are closed for holidays
• Bella Mera Bridal is closed (see our schedule below)

Important: Rush order fees are non-refundable, even when holidays extend your processing timeline.

Counting Rush Production Days:
If you place a 1-3 business day rush order on a weekend before a holiday:

• The countdown begins after the holiday passes
• Plus an additional 2 business days for processing
• Closed days are not counted toward your rush period

Example: If you order a 3-day rush item on Saturday before Memorial Day (Monday):

• Monday (Memorial Day) = Closed, doesn't count
• Tuesday = Processing resumes
• Wednesday = Day 1 of rush
• Thursday = Day 2 of rush
• Friday = Day 3 of rush (ships this day)

Our boutique is closed on the following holidays (no order processing or shipments):

• Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Third Monday in January)
• Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
• Independence Day (July 4)
• Labor Day (First Monday in September)
• Veterans Day (November 11)
• Thanksgiving Week (Reduced operations, specific dates vary)
• Christmas Week (Reduced operations, December 24-26)
• New Year's Eve (December 31, if applicable)

Specific dates may vary by year. Please check our website for current-year closure dates before placing time-sensitive orders.

USPS follows the federal holiday schedule and is closed on:

UPS is a private carrier and observes fewer holidays than USPS. UPS is closed on:

• Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November)
• Christmas Day (December 25)

Note: UPS operates on most other federal holidays, including Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Veterans Day.

Planning Your Order Around Holidays

✓ Order early – Add at least 2-3 weeks of buffer time before major holidays
✓ Avoid rush orders placed within 5 days of a holiday (processing delays are likely)
✓ Check carrier schedules – Even if we ship on time, carrier closures will delay delivery
✓ Consider peak seasons – November-December experiences the highest shipping volumes and delays
✓ Track your package – Carrier tracking will show holiday-related delays
