International Shipping Information

Important: Please read this entire policy before placing your international order. All international purchases are subject to special terms and conditions.


Critical Policy Overview

All international sales are FINAL SALE with no exceptions:

  • No returns accepted for any reason
  • No exchanges available
  • Shipping fees are always non-refundable
  • We cannot assist with damaged, lost, or delayed packages unless you purchased insurance

Our Liability: We are not responsible for carrier delays, damaged items, lost packages, or any issues with your chosen shipping method. All damage or loss claims must be filed directly with USPS.com or your local country's postal service.

Documentation: We photograph and video all outgoing international shipments before they leave our facility for your protection and ours.

Insurance & Signature Delivery:

  • You can add signature delivery and extra insurance at checkout
  • Orders with expedited shipping over $150 require signature delivery
  • Without purchased insurance, we cannot provide refunds for damage or loss
  • First Class International shipping has NO insurance included—you must request to add insurance at checkout

Pricing & Currency

All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD). For currency conversion to your local currency, we recommend using a reliable online currency converter before placing your order.


Processing & Shipping Timeframes

Processing Time: International orders may require 3-5 additional business days (or more) of processing time before shipment, beyond the standard production time listed on each product.

Shipping Methods & Transit Times:

USPS First Class Package International Service:

  • Most affordable option for packages under 4 pounds
  • Delivery: 7–21 days from shipment date (not guaranteed)
  • No insurance included unless you add it at checkout
  • Mail travels by ground, air, or combination

USPS Priority Mail International:

  • Delivery: Generally 6–15 days from shipment date

USPS Express Mail International:

  • Delivery: Generally 2–10 days from shipment date

UPS International Services:

  • Various options available at checkout
  • Faster, trackable service with insurance options

Important: If you select "International Express," your order will still require the full processing time listed on your product page before it ships. Express shipping only affects transit time, not production time.


What Is a Rush Order? Does It Include Shipping?

Rush service and shipping are two separate charges:

Rush Order = Faster production/processing time
The manufacturer produces your item sooner than the standard timeframe, OR we package your order on an expedited schedule.

Shipping Method = How quickly the package travels after it ships
This is the carrier service (UPS, USPS Express, etc.) and only affects transit time.

Example:
2-week rush + 2-day UPS shipping = Item ships within 2 weeks, then travels for 2 days via UPS.

Processing time does NOT include shipping transit time.


Customs, Duties, Taxes & VAT

You Are Responsible for All Import Charges:

When purchasing products internationally, you may be subject to:

  • Import duties
  • Customs tariffs
  • VAT (Value Added Tax)
  • Brokerage fees
  • Other local taxes and charges

Critical Information:

  • These charges are levied when your shipment reaches your country
  • All fees are the sole responsibility of the receiving customer
  • Charges are collected by your local customs office or the carrier upon delivery
  • These fees are NOT included in your shipping cost or paid to us
  • We have no control over these charges and cannot predict amounts
  • We cannot mark packages as "gifts" or alter declared values on customs forms
  • Packing slips for international shipments reflect actual purchase prices

You Are the Importer of Record:
When ordering from Bella Mera Bridal, you are legally considered the importer and must comply with all laws and regulations of your country.

Before Ordering:
Contact your local customs office to understand potential charges and regulations for your specific country. Customs policies vary widely worldwide.


How to Calculate Shipping Costs

  1. Add items to your shopping cart
  2. Click "Checkout"
  3. Enter your international shipping address
  4. View calculated shipping rates for available methods

We ship via UPS and USPS. Final shipping costs and timelines will be calculated and shown before you complete your order. If we need to collect additional shipping fees or if there's an issue with your address, we'll contact you before processing.

Returns Policy for International Orders

We do not accept returns on international orders. All international sales are final.

Customs Inspections:
Please be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities in your country. This is standard procedure and outside our control.


Verification Process for International Orders

Fraud Protection:

Some international orders are subject to a verification procedure to protect you from credit card fraud and identity theft. We may ask you to verify:

  • You are the cardholder
  • Order information is accurate
  • Shipping address is legitimate

What to Expect:

  • We'll contact you by phone or email if verification is needed
  • This rarely delays your order
  • May require a simple callback or submission of ID/additional documentation

Important Requirements:

  • Provide both day and evening phone numbers when ordering
  • Keep your contact information current
  • Your billing address must match the address on file with your credit card issuer
  • Even if shipping to a different location, billing info must be accurate

This process protects both you and our business. We regret the inconvenience but it's necessary for international transaction security.


Where We Ship

Domestic (USA):
We ship to virtually any address in the Continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.

International:
We ship to most countries worldwide. All international orders must be placed through our website and processed with payment verification.

Restrictions:

  • Some products cannot be shipped internationally
  • UPS and major carriers cannot deliver to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses
  • Please provide a physical street address to avoid delays

Shipping Schedule:
Bella Mera Bridal ships Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays. Major carriers like UPS do not ship on federal holidays.


Refused Shipments & Return to Sender

Critical Policy:

If you refuse delivery or request "return to sender," the following applies:

Automatic Charges:

  • You will be charged double the original shipping fee to cover transportation both ways
  • Additional $50 refused shipment fee will be charged to your card
  • All return policies are automatically voided

What Happens:

  • The merchandise will be marked "Return to Sender" without opening
  • We will charge your card for return shipping + the $50 fee
  • You take the risk of the package being lost in transit back
  • Your original payment obligation remains in full effect
  • We will notify your credit card company of all charges and circumstances

Refusing shipment does not negate your financial responsibility.

International Note: We do not accept returns on international shipments under any circumstances, including refused deliveries.


Delivery Timeframes

How Long Until I Receive My Order?

Processing times vary by product. Always check the individual product page for specific production/processing timeframes.

After Processing:

  • First Class International: 7–21 days transit time (from shipment date)
  • Priority Mail International: 6–15 days transit time (generally)
  • Express Mail International: 2–10 days transit time (generally)
  • UPS International: Varies by service level selected

Backorders & Discontinued Items:
If an item becomes backordered, delayed, or discontinued by our vendors, you'll be notified immediately via email or phone.

Packaging Options

Standard Packaging:
Most orders ship in poly mailers or manufacturer packaging.

Cardboard Box Shipping:
If you want your order shipped in a cardboard box, select upgraded shipping such as UPS or FedEx at checkout.

Gift Wrapping:
Some products are available for gift wrapping. Check individual product details to see if this option is available for your item.

Signature Requirements:

  • Express Mail, Overnight, 2nd/3rd Day packages: Require signature in most cases (notify us if signature is not necessary)
  • Priority Mail: Ships with delivery confirmation tracking only
  • Upgrade Option: You can add signature confirmation at checkout for any shipping method

Order Fulfillment Locations

Depending on product availability and stock:

  • Orders may ship from our Sterling, Virginia boutique
  • Orders may ship directly from the manufacturer/designer/supplier

Multiple Packages:
If your order contains multiple items, they may arrive in separate packages on different days. You should receive all packages within a few days of each other in most cases.
